Are You Willing to Trust? – Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles on the market, but there should be a thing that you’ve hooked into, or caught onto? Something that triggered a transformation or a major healing. So, the thing that was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Think about your lifetime because it appears to be in this world with regards to the story. How do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I think my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who’s my source?” So when we speak about the final stage of the awakening being pure trust, it’s simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in many of these made-up concepts, beliefs, and ideas in the world. It’s similar to building a big house of cards, stacking on one card after the other. Then the good wind occurs and poof, it’s only blown over. It can’t even stand only a little gust of wind. It’s so frail. It’s so temporary. It’s so transitory; It absolutely was this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in anything else; those issues that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? a course in miracles book Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It certainly comes right down to the essence of who’s my buddy? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried that one?So you’re asking the question, “When someone dies or appears to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where this is heading would be to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will show you is that everything is mental and that everything is a hallucination. That is a world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There’s no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to build his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the bond between thought and form. His lessons start with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I’ve given everything I see all this is it’s for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way around number four, “These thoughts don’t mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He’s referring to thoughts. First He’s referring to perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 … perception, perception, perception, perception, perception … and then number 10, “My thoughts don’t mean anything.” You can see he’s attempting to melt everything together and show the final veil or stage of awakening, that is trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time and energy to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back compared to that timeless moment that’s the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to teach us that they are all illusions and that they are all equally meaningless. That’s precisely the way of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work with your head to loosen the attachments from the investment in a myriad of things. What type of things would you spend money on, in this world?
